Our mission statement: To play our part in creating a sustainable future for our visitors our community and our team.
At The Ice Cream Farm, sustainability is a fundamental commitment woven into the business. We recognise the importance of preserving the environment for future generations and have therefore implemented a range of sustainable practices which promote responsible business operations.
Just some of the ways we do this are:
Using predominantly local suppliers (around 80%), which not only supports the local economy but also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation.
Investing in renewable energy sources, such as solar panels to contribute to a more sustainable energy landscape.
Using biodegradable packaging and sustainable brands such as VegWare.
Using an external company which hand sorts our recycling.
Creating a lake and planting a large area of wild seeds at The Drive In to encourage wildlife.
Internally recycle play pass cards to re-use multiple times.
Investing in training and information for team members in sustainability to increase our knowledge and ways to improve our site for years to come.
Choosing an electricity provider which uses 92.1% renewable energy, which are investing to play a leading role in UK’s Journey to net zero economy, with set SBTi targets to achieve net zero carbon emissions.
Installing refillable water stations onsite for visitors to refill their drinks bottles, to reduce one use plastic bottles.

Our Electricity- monitoring our consumption and finding ways to reduce our usage through findings and support our target reduction in energy intensity per year.
We have committed to an Environmental action plan which supports us to achieve our goals to becoming a more sustainable site, making changes for our visitors, team, and planet.
We are incredibly proud to be a Sustainable Palm Oil Ambassador in partnership with Chester Zoo. As part of this initiative, we carefully examine the origins of all the ingredients we use and the products we sell across our site, ensuring that our products are sustainably sourced where possible.
