It has just been announced that The Ice Cream Farm is a finalist in three categories of the North West Family Business Awards 2023.
We’re delighted to report that we beat strong competition, with a record number of family businesses entering the awards from across the North West region.
“My parents started producing ice cream on Drumlan Hall Farm in 1986. Since then our family farm has grown exponentially, and today I run The Ice Cream Farm, while my brother Graeme is CEO of Cheshire Farm Ice Cream.
“Family is still integral to our business. The Ice Cream Farm is a family business designed to give visiting families a place to come and make memories together.
“So we’re extremely excited to have been named a finalist in three categories of the North West Family Business Awards.”
The Ice Cream Farm was named a finalist in the following categories:

• People’s Choice Cheshire – VOTE FOR US HERE!
• Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
The North West Family Business Awards are organised and run by The Family Business Community, as an opportunity to celebrate family businesses from across the North West.
Co-Founder and Director of the Family Business Awards, Sue Howorth, said: “We were inundated with some incredible entries, and we have been burning the midnight oil to get through them as they came in right up to the wire. The judges had extremely difficult decisions to make so the finalists should be extremely proud of themselves!”

Sue Bagguley from Siemens PLC near Manchester, and who were the hosts of our Judging Day, said: “The number and quality of applications from across the North West has been outstanding, the businesses are clearly proud to be family businesses and the detail in many of the entries has demonstrated that they are very progressive and innovative.
